Bottled water can be purchased at just about every supermarket and convenience store. It is available in offices, at conferences, at county fairs. It doesn’t seem expensive; the cost is roughly the same as soda pop.

As more people become more concerned with their personal health and nutrition, they want to avoid artificial flavors and sugar. As they hear more and more about water pollution, they begin to question the quality of the water that emerges from their own kitchen tap, or public drinking fountains. Tap water might have an undesirable taste or appearance.

To many folks, bottled water seems to be a clean, smart, convenient, and affordable answer. Bottled water nearly has “universal acceptance,” as a marketing professional might put it.
