Welcome to kNOwbottledwater.org -- a site devoted to enhancing the knowledge that consumers have about the water they choose to drink.  We’re concerned that many consumers are buying and drinking bottled water for reasons that are based on presumptions rather than data.  We also suspect they are unaware that their choice impacts the environment in many ways.  We would like to get people to consider the future of water and ask themselves if their practices are sustainable in the long run. They may even come to ask “who owns water, anyway?”

Funding for this project has been provided through generous grants from the Ben and Jerry’s Foundation and the Park Foundation.  The award was given to Concerned Citizens of Newport, Columbia County, Wisconsin, to provide educational information on bottled water issues.
